A rapid decline in cauliflower production across the region tightened local supply, contributing to a market contraction to 375 thousand metric tons in 2019. However, the market rebounded strongly in 2020, with volume rising to 431 thousand metric tons.

After a slight dip to 416 thousand metric tons in 2021, the market expanded again. Morocco's active participation in the Fruit Logistica 2022 trade fair helped promote fresh vegetable exports to European markets, boosting external demand and supporting production growth. This contributed to a market increase to 440 thousand metric tons in 2022, followed by a further surge to 518 thousand metric tons in 2023.
