The cabbage market volume in Montenegro showed considerable variation between 2018 and 2023. Starting at nearly 14 000 t in 2018, it fell sharply to around 10 255 t in 2019. The following year brought a modest recovery to 11 142 t, but volume dipped again in 2021 to just over 10 243 t. A strong rebound occurred in 2022, with the market reaching 13 180 t, before stabilizing at a similar level of 13 146 t in 2023.

These fluctuations were primarily driven by changes in domestic cabbage production, which mirrored the market volume trend closely. Imports also played a role, supplementing domestic supply, particularly in years like 2020 when both production and imports increased. The export flow remained minimal throughout the period, except for a temporary spike in 2021, which contributed to the lower market volume that year.
