It then rebounded strongly, peaking at 11 502 t in 2022 before declining to 10 271 t in 2023 and falling sharply to 5 116 t in 2024.

In value terms, the market followed a similar but less pronounced pattern. The market value decreased from 28.5 million US dollars in 2018 to 21.8 million in 2020, then recovered to a peak of 30.0 million in 2022. After a drop to 24.2 million in 2023, it stabilized at 24.3 million in 2024, even as physical volume halved from the previous year. This divergence suggests significant changes in product mix or pricing during the period.
