The apple market in Morocco expanded from 705 thousand tons in 2018 to 816 thousand tons in 2019, driven by national agricultural strategies such as the Generation Green 2020-2030 plan and the Maroc Vert program. These initiatives provided funding and support to apple growers, particularly in the Fez-Meknes region, which accounts for over 30% of national production.

After a temporary dip to 785 thousand tons in 2020, the market recovered strongly, reaching 897 thousand tons in 2021 and peaking at 931 thousand tons in 2022. However, in 2023, severe drought conditions across Morocco pressured water resources for agriculture, contributing to a decline in production that reduced the market volume to 875 thousand tons.
