Albanian fresh apple market volume fluctuated between 104 thousand tonnes and 116 thousand tonnes from 2018 to 2023. The market saw an initial decline followed by a period of recovery and renewed volatility.

After a moderate decline in 2019 and stabilization in 2020, consumption jumped by 10.9% in 2021 to reach 115.5 thousand tonnes. This was followed by a sharp drop of 10.3% in 2022, before rebounding by 5.4% to 109.2 thousand tonnes in 2023.

Overall, the market demonstrated significant swings, with the 2023 volume remaining slightly below the 2018 starting point of 110 thousand tonnes.

In 2020, the output was valued at 15 622 K $ US, representing a significant contraction of 23.3% compared to the previous year.
