The Czech market for anti-freezing preparations and prepared de-icing fluids contracted substantially in physical volume between 2018 and 2024. Domestic consumption, measured in tonnes, declined from 41 429 t to 28 553 t, a reduction of approximately 31% over the period.

This downward trend was interrupted only in 2021, when market volume temporarily recovered to 42 094 t. A sharp contraction followed from 2022 onward, with annual volume falling by over 10 000 t from the 2021 peak.

The period saw steadily rising export volumes, which increased by more than 50% from 2021 to 2024. In value terms, the market exhibited greater volatility, reaching 52.4 million USD in 2023 before declining to 39.4 million USD in 2024.
