The Swedish aluminium tubes and pipes market began the period at a volume of 1 632 t in 2019. In 2020, consumption remained nearly stable at 1 617 t, as global supply chain disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic affected production and demand patterns across the industry.

Market volume rose by 9.4% to 1 769 t in 2021, coinciding with a broader global recovery in aluminium tube and pipe exports and manufacturing activity following the pandemic. This upward trend was reversed in 2022, when consumption fell by 15.4% to 1 497 t.

After a slight contraction to 1 477 t in 2023, the market expanded sharply by 27.8% in 2024, reaching 1 888 t.

The lowest export volume was recorded in 2019 at 378 tonnes, while the largest decline occurred in 2018 with a drop of 19.2%.

From 2017 to 2020, Norway, Germany, and Lithuania consistently served as the main destinations for Sweden's aluminium tubes and pipes exports in kind. Norway accounted for 36.3% of exports, Germany for 7.6%, and Lithuania for 6.8%. Together, these three countries represented 50.8% of total export flows.
