The market continued to be supplied by established chemical companies like SAPEC Química and traditional aluminium processors. In 2021, the foundation of a new player, RETROTARGET, introduced fresh competition and innovation to the sector. By 2023, imports surged to 5 274 t, partially offsetting the domestic production decline, though not enough to prevent an overall contraction in market volume.

In value terms, the market demonstrated a contrasting trend, growing from $467 thousand in 2019 to $1 435 thousand in 2023. This increase suggests a shift towards higher-priced products or general price inflation, occurring alongside the contraction in physical volume.
