By 2024, economic growth and rising fixed capital investment improved the investment climate for agriculture, though weather-related production challenges persisted.

Serbia's production of alliaceous vegetables increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, Serbia produced 36 187 tons of alliaceous vegetables, marking a significant 10.7% increase compared to the previous year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production decreased by 5.1%, with a compound annual growth rate of 1.7%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2018 at 31 582 tons, which also saw the largest decline of 17.2%.

After two years of growth, Serbia's exports of alliaceous vegetables declined. In 2020, exports totaled 17 349 tons, representing a 23.3% decrease from 2019. The highest export volume was recorded in 2019 at 22 615 tons, while the largest increase occurred in 2018 with a 20.8% rise.
