This was followed by a period of gradual contraction, with the market size falling to 1 268 thousand cubic meters in 2020 and then to 1 187 thousand cubic meters in 2021.

A sharp decline of over 22% occurred in 2022, reducing the market to 923 thousand cubic meters. By 2023, the market volume showed signs of stabilization, edging down only slightly to 910 thousand cubic meters.

Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production decreased by 11.1%, with an annualized decline of 3.8%.
