By 2023, growth nearly stabilized at 158.9 million US dollars, coinciding with a pronounced slowdown in Belgium's timber economy in the third quarter, driven by weak global demand and high inventory levels.

The market resumed a clearer upward path in 2024, reaching 167.3 million US dollars. This increase was supported by regulatory shifts, including the raised thresholds for European publicity in public procurement from January 1, 2024, which broadened market access, and the RE2020 regulation that favors bio-based materials like wood in construction, stimulating demand for wood doors and frames.
