Earlier Report Observations

The Spanish passenger car tyre market volume expanded from 25.5 million units in 2020 to 43.0 million units in 2024. After a strong increase in 2021, the market saw a slight contraction in 2022, a period which saw global manufacturers launch new ultra-high-performance tyres and a continued consumer shift toward larger wheel sizes and all-season products.

Growth accelerated sharply in 2023, supported by a significant increase in imports of Asian-made tyres, which bolstered market volume, alongside sustained consumer preference for larger rims and all-season variants. In 2024, the market expansion continued, driven by a recovery in consumer segment sales, the ongoing popularity of all-season tyres, and moderate price inflation.
