The Chilean turkey meat and offal market experienced a substantial contraction from 2018 to 2023, with total market volume falling from 80 410 t to 45 646 t, a decline of 43%. The steepest drop occurred in 2020, when market size shrank by 22% year-on-year to 52 899 t.

Domestic production followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 95 075 t in 2018 to 68 524 t in 2023. Imports more than halved over the period, from 11 139 t to 4 791 t, while exports remained relatively stable, ending at 27 670 t in 2023 after some fluctuations.

A temporary rebound lifted the market to 60 011 t in 2021, but the downward trajectory resumed in the following years, culminating in a 21% year-on-year decline to 45 646 t in 2023.
