The following year, 2024, saw significant industrial developments with the inauguration of multiple tomato processing plants in districts like Mahitsy, Ambatondrazaka, and Ambohidratrimo under the government's One District One Factory (ODOF) initiative. This project, led by the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade, and Consumption, aimed to industrialize the tomato value chain, reduce post-harvest losses, and create local value, marking the entry of new players such as Dago Green Consulting.

Concurrently, regulatory frameworks concerning standardization, certification, and consumer protection were updated, shaping market governance. Experiments in agroecology gained traction to control pests and reduce reliance on chemical pesticides, addressing environmental and health concerns.
