After a two-year gain, Uganda's imports of tea in packings of 3 kg or less declined. In 2020, imports totalled 43 tonnes, constituting a 37.3% decrease compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, imports decreased by 6.7%, with a CAGR of 2.3%. The maximum volume was recorded in 2019 at 69 tonnes, while the largest increase occurred in 2018 at 41.9%.
