During this period, the market saw the entry of new specialized players and sustained consumer preference for durable goods, yet these factors were insufficient to offset the broader decline in total consumption. Ongoing regulatory frameworks, including extended producer responsibility for packaging waste, provided a stable operational context but did not reverse the downward trend in market size.

In value terms, the market presented a different dynamic, rising from 44 million US dollars in 2018 to a high of 75 million US dollars in 2021 before decreasing to 56 million US dollars in 2024. This indicates a shift towards higher-value product segments or price effects, even as the physical volume of the market shrank considerably over the latter part of the period.
