The total market value fell from around 87.9 million USD to 29.4 million USD, a decrease of approximately two-thirds, signaling a profound downturn in the sector.

This collapse was primarily driven by a drastic reduction in domestic production, which plummeted from 55.6 million USD to just 7.2 million USD over the same period. While imports remained the dominant supply source, they also declined after a peak in 2022, falling from 60.1 million USD to 48.2 million USD by 2024. Export volumes showed some fluctuations but did not counterbalance the overall market shrinkage.

The consistent decline across both local manufacturing and import figures points to a severe and persistent reduction in the consumption of these single-function devices in Hungary, with the market's value in 2024 standing at less than one-third of its 2019 level.
