By 2023, government pressure to cut prices for specific rice varieties, alongside the growing presence of local producers such as Wisun Agrotech, helped lift the market back to 190.8 thousand tonnes.

Recent initiatives have focused on installing agricultural processing units across regions to add value to the rice supply chain, while continued price monitoring and control policies aim to stabilize this essential food market.
