The sandstone market in Poland showed considerable volatility from 2018 to 2020. After an initial contraction to 1.48 million tons in 2019, market volume surged to 1.82 million tons the following year. In value terms, the market grew from $7.7 million to $10.3 million over the same two-year period.

Following the 2020 peak, both volume and value entered a downward phase. By 2022, market volume had fallen to 1.14 million tons, while market value dropped to $6.8 million. A slight stabilization occurred in 2023, with volume holding around 1.1 million tons but value recovering to $8.9 million.

A dramatic turnaround took place in 2024. Market volume rebounded to 1.6 million tons, nearly matching the 2018 level, and market value soared to $14.8 million, setting a new high for the period and indicating a significant shift in market conditions.
