The market for coniferous roundwood in Lebanon showed considerable volatility in volume between 2018 and 2023. Starting at 10 759 m³ in 2018, the total market size jumped by 37% to 14 715 m³ the following year. This peak was entirely due to a sudden influx of imports, which added 4 867 m³ to the market. After 2019, the market contracted sharply, falling to 10 290 m³ by 2022, before partially recovering to 11 986 m³ in 2023.

Domestic production demonstrated relative stability through most of the period, gradually declining from 10 759 m³ to 10 241 m³ between 2018 and 2022. This trend reversed in 2023, with output rising to 11 578 m³. The import surge of 2019 was short-lived, collapsing to just 58 m³ by 2022, which shifted the market's reliance back to locally produced roundwood. Export volumes were negligible throughout the years observed.

In 2024, the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade continued its focus on general market monitoring and price regulation policies, which form the broader administrative context for the wood sector. Trade flows for the year indicated modest import activity at 133 m³.
