After two years of growth, pumpkin, squash, and gourd production in the GCC declined. In 2020, production reached 118.6 thousand tons, marking a 9.6% decrease from 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production increased by 2.5%, with a compound annual growth rate of 0.8%. The peak was recorded in 2019 at 131.1 thousand tons, which also saw the largest annual increase of 12.8%.
