ECOWAS's poultry meat and offal production saw a two-year increase before declining. In 2020, the region produced 1 749 thousand tonnes, which represents a 3.1% decrease from the previous year. During 2017-2020, the United States (17.8% of import volume), Belgium (15.5%), and the Netherlands (12.7%) played notable but not dominant roles as suppliers of poultry meat and offal to ECOWAS. Together, these three countries accounted for 46.0% of total import volume.
