Earlier Report Observations

The potato flour market in ASEAN reached 90 047 metric tons in 2018, supported by rising demand from the food processing industry due to growing gluten-free diet trends and consumer preference for natural, clean-label ingredients. After a decline to 79 067 t in 2019, the market was influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, which increased demand for processed foods and durable raw materials, lifting the market volume to 86 227 t.

Following a slight contraction to 81 984 t in 2021, the market surged to 96 965 t in 2022, propelled by strengthening consumer preferences for natural and gluten-free potato flour, which spurred product innovation. By 2023, the market stabilized at 96 016 t, remaining under the influence of global trends towards healthy eating and natural ingredients.
