Production oxygen in Czechia

Following a two-year decline, Czechia's oxygen production value rebounded in 2021. Output reached 89.9 million US dollars, marking a 9.6% increase compared to 2020. However, over the broader 2018-2021 period, production value fell by 17.3%, with a compound annual growth rate of -6.1%. The lowest point occurred in 2020 at 82.0 million US dollars, which also saw the steepest annual decline of 18.0%.

Oxygen production in Czechia declined for the third consecutive year in 2021. Output totaled 581 million cubic meters, representing a 24.5% decrease from 2020. Across the 2018-2021 timeframe, production volume dropped by 47.8%, translating to a compound annual decline rate of 19.5%.

Exports oxygen from Czechia

Exports in kind, K m³

After two years of contraction, Czechia's oxygen exports rebounded in 2021. Export volume reached 39 120 thousand cubic meters, reflecting a strong 14.7% year-over-year increase. Despite this recovery, exports fell by 22.3% between 2018 and 2021, equivalent to an 8.1% annualized decline rate. The lowest export volume was recorded in 2020 at 34 120 thousand cubic meters, which also experienced the most significant annual drop of 20.6%.

Following a two-year downturn, Czechia's oxygen export value increased in 2021. Exports reached 6 589 thousand US dollars, showing a 22.0% advance compared to the previous year. Over the 2018-2021 period, however, export value decreased by 2.1%, with a compound annual growth rate of -0.7%. The minimum value was recorded in 2020 at 5 400 thousand US dollars, while the largest annual decline occurred in 2019 at 10.6%.

In 2021, Czechia's oxygen import volume amounted to 34 839 thousand cubic meters, declining by 3.8% compared to the previous year. Between 2018 and 2021, import volume decreased by 25.1%, equating to a 9.2% annualized decline rate. The most substantial drop occurred in 2019 at 23.6%, while imports saw their largest increase in 2020 at 1.9%.

After two years of decline, Czechia's oxygen import value rose in 2021. Imports totaled approximately 4 683 thousand US dollars, up by 12.3% compared to 2020. Over the 2018-2021 period, however, import value decreased by 12.8%, with a compound annual decline rate of 4.5%. The lowest value was recorded in 2020 at 4 169 thousand US dollars, while the largest annual decrease took place in 2019 at 21.2%.
