Earlier Report Observations

The Czech oxygen market volume contracted sharply from 1 110 million m³ in 2018 to 577 million m³ in 2021, with the steepest declines occurring in 2020 and 2021.

A recovery began in 2022 when volume grew to 600 million m³, driven by an increase in new industrial orders that boosted demand for oxygen in manufacturing processes. This expansion coincided with significant updates to chemical legislation, including new labeling and safety reporting requirements for oxygen. The market then stabilized around 570-578 million m³ in 2023 and 2024, influenced by further regulatory revisions such as new hazard classifications and the growing adoption of digital technologies in industrial operations.
