In 2021, the country produced 14 180 thousand cubic meters, which represents a 9.9% decrease compared to 2020. Over the period from 2018 to 2021, production fell by 27.5%, with an average annual decline of 10.2%.

Exports non coniferous roundwood from Australia

After two years of growth, Australia's exports of non-coniferous roundwood declined in 2021. Exports amounted to 335.2 thousand cubic meters, marking a significant contraction of 51.0% compared to 2020. Between 2018 and 2021, exports decreased by 34.1%, which translates to an annualized decline of 13.0%. The highest export volume was recorded in 2020 at 684.3 thousand cubic meters, while the largest increase occurred in 2019 with a 26.2% rise.

Between 2018 and 2021, imports decreased by 58.8%, equating to an annualized decline of 25.6%. The highest import volume was recorded in 2019 at 3.0 thousand cubic meters, with the largest decline occurring in 2020 at 55.7%. The largest increase was seen in 2019 with a 5.6% rise.

Over the period from 2018 to 2021, import value decreased by 64.1%, with an average annual decline of 28.9%. The lowest value was recorded in 2020 at 819 thousand US dollars, which also saw the largest decline of 60.0%.
