Jordan's milk market volume grew from 473.1 thousand tons in 2018 to 515.2 thousand tons in 2019, supported by the dairy farming sector which reported annual production growth exceeding 10% and the establishment of a regulatory committee for dry milk licensing. The market then contracted to 485.9 thousand tons in 2020 before a modest recovery to 494.4 thousand tons in 2021.

A strong expansion phase began in 2022, with market volume reaching 574.2 thousand tons and surging to 708.4 thousand tons in 2023. This growth was driven by rising domestic production, which benefited from local infant milk powder manufacturing and regulatory pressures, including calls from consumer protection groups to ban dry milk imports in favor of fresh local milk, reinforcing domestic output.

In 2024, Jordan Dairy Company expanded its cattle barn capacity to increase daily milk production, while government ministries held meetings to address price increases. Consumer behavior shifted towards supporting national products through campaigns like 'Made in Jordan', reinforcing demand for local milk.
