Production insulating glass units in Poland

After two years of growth, insulating glass unit production in Poland declined. In 2020, output was valued at 750.5 million US dollars, marking a slight decrease of 1.8% compared to 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production increased by 15.1%, with a compound annual growth rate of 4.8%. Foreign insulating glass unit supplies from Poland increased for the third consecutive year. In 2020, Poland exported 4 269 thousand square meters, up by 6.3% compared to 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, exports rose by 11.7%, with a compound annual growth rate of 3.8%.

Poland's insulating glass unit imports declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, import volume amounted to 1 345 thousand square meters, reflecting a limited decline of 8.3% versus 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, imports increased by 22.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.0%. The highest volume was recorded in 2018 at 1 481 thousand square meters, which also saw the largest increase of 34.7%.
