The hazelnut market in Uzbekistan remained relatively stable between 2018 and 2021, with annual volumes hovering around 4,000 t. A notable shift occurred in 2022 when market size jumped by over 18% to 4,735 t, followed by a further 5% increase to 4,983 t in 2023.

This growth was almost entirely driven by imports, which rose sharply from 295 t in 2021 to 1,018 t in 2022 and 1,272 t in 2023. Domestic production, in contrast, stayed flat at approximately 3,700 t per year throughout the period.

Production reached its lowest point in 2019 at 3 681 tons, while the peak was recorded in 2018 with 3 859 tons.
