Output stabilized near 21 180 tons in 2021 while demand for animal feed continued to grow, maintaining market activity. A sharp rise to 27 335 tons occurred in 2022, directly linked to the country's increasing livestock population, which boosted consumption of oil-cake as a protein supplement in feed.

Production fell to 24 702 tons in 2023, influenced by higher import costs for raw materials due to depreciation of the Bangladeshi taka and market reorganization following the merger of Shun Shing Edible Oil Ltd with Bangladesh Edible Oil Ltd.
