This expansion was supported by robust growth in domestic production, which increased from 101.5 million dollars in 2018 to 149.7 million dollars in 2023, alongside a rising import volume that reached 22.4 million dollars in the same year. The export sector also grew substantially over the period, though at a slightly slower pace than production in the later years.

In 2024, the market experienced a moderation, declining to 25.5 million dollars. This was primarily due to a decrease in production output, which fell to 136.7 million dollars, coupled with a dip in exports, while imports remained elevated at 19.2 million dollars.

Cross-border shipments of glass moulds from Croatia have increased for the third consecutive year. In 2020, export volume reached 4 044 tonnes, representing a 1.8% increase compared to 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, exports rose by 24.2%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.5%.

After a two-year advance, cross-border shipments of glass moulds to Croatia declined. In 2020, imports amounted to 664 tonnes, down by 29.2% from the previous year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, imports decreased by 10.8%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of -3.7%. The maximum value was recorded in 2019 at 938 tonnes, and the largest increase occurred in 2018 at 23.4%.
