During this period, the food retail sector underwent significant structural changes, including store network optimization and efficiency drives led by the dominant 'Big 4' chains. However, market volume declined to 343 thousand tons in 2023, a year marked by continued retail consolidation and stable, but not expanding, demand for sustainable and local products.
