Earlier Report Observations

India's fluorspar market volume held steady near 244 thousand tonnes in 2018 and 2019, relying heavily on imports to meet demand from chemical, cement, and steel industries amid limited domestic production.

The market contracted to 198.8 thousand tonnes in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted global supply chains and demand, then rebounded to 280.5 thousand tonnes by 2022 driven by worldwide investments in fluorspar mining and processing capacity that improved supply availability.
