The following year, the market contracted to 29 827 tons as imports plummeted to just 2 tons. This volatility coincided with global spikes in wheat prices and supply chain disruptions stemming from the war in Ukraine, which may have prompted shifts in demand for alternative flours like those from roots and tubers.

By 2023, the market stabilized once more, reaching 30 744 tons. Production rose to 30 228 tons, and imports recovered modestly to 515 tons, indicating sustained domestic demand for these products.
