Earlier Report Observations

Greek production of flexible plastic tubes and hoses increased by 4% in 2018 to 33 000 tons, while market volume grew by 3.3% to 31 000 tons. This expansion was driven by the activation of several enterprises in manufacturing and imports, which stimulated domestic consumption. Production continued to rise over the next two years, reaching 37 000 tons in 2020, with market volume stabilizing at around 35 000 tons.

After 2020, import volumes showed significant fluctuations, declining to 6 500 tons in 2022 before surging to 12 000 tons by 2024. Exports remained relatively stable, ranging between 8 000 and 9 000 tons annually. In 2022, the Greek composite and plastic pipe manufacturer SOLIN announced strategic investments in training and innovation to strengthen its international presence.
