The Slovak market for electrical inductors grew in volume from 28.2 thousand units in 2018 to 30.8 thousand units in 2020. This expansion was supported by the introduction of the technical standard STN 33 2000-6:2018-07 for low-voltage electrical installations in July 2018, which updated production and installation requirements for electrical components, including inductors, and stimulated demand for compliant products. Domestic production increased from 25.1 thousand units in 2018 to 28.1 thousand units in 2020.

In value terms, the market size remained largely stable at around $34.0 million in 2019 before declining to $30.8 million in 2020. Starting in 2022, legislative changes in occupational safety and health for electrical equipment, under Acts No. 124/2006 Z. z. and No. 125/2006 Z. z., tightened control over equipment operation and inspection. These measures contributed to a reduction in import volumes from 4.0 thousand units in 2021 to 2.4 thousand units in 2022, while exports grew consistently, reaching 1.2 thousand units by 2024.

Further regulatory updates in 2024, including amendments to the labour inspection law and new rules on electronic waste transport, continued to shape the operational environment for inductor manufacturers and distributors in Slovakia.

In 2020, Slovakia's output of electrical inductors was valued at 7 274 K $ US, marking a 30.8% reduction compared to 2019. Production decreased by 13.8% between 2018 and 2020, which translates to an annualized rate of 4.8%. The peak value occurred in 2019 at 10 513 K $ US, with the largest increase that year of 24.7%.

In 2020, Slovakia produced 28 088 K units of electrical inductors, showing a slight drop of 0.9% from the previous year. Over the period from 2018 to 2020, production grew by 12%, equivalent to an annualized rate of 3.9%. The highest production level was recorded in 2019 at 28 333 K units, with the largest increase that year of 13.0%.

Slovakia's exports of electrical inductors in value terms declined in 2020 following a two-year increase. Exports totaled 6 897 K $ US, representing a 34.6% drop year-over-year. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports decreased by 23.3%, with a compound annual growth rate of -8.5%. The highest value was in 2019 at 10 552 K $ US, and the largest increase was in 2018 at 8.7%.
