Throughout the period, the market's structure remained dominated by local output. The export channel, while variable, did not fundamentally alter the consistent upward trend in production, which climbed from 596.0 thousand tons to 766.1 thousand tons over the six years.

The lowest export volume was recorded in 2018 at 438.8 tonnes, and the largest decline occurred that same year, falling by 40.2%.

Between 2017 and 2020, the largest buyers of edible brassicas from Bangladesh were Malaysia, accounting for 51.9% of exports in volume, Belarus with 17.7%, and Singapore at 16.8%. Together, these three countries represented 86.4% of Bangladesh's total edible brassicas exports by volume.
