From 2017 to 2020, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan were the principal destinations for Ethiopia's dried shelled chickpea exports in volume terms. India accounted for 25.7% of exports, the UAE for 25.5%, and Pakistan for 16.7%. Together, these three countries represented 67.9% of total export flows.
