The following year brought a sharp contraction to 19 189 m³, representing a drop of over 39%. A modest rebound occurred in 2023 and 2024, with the market reaching 24 521 m³ by the end of the period.

In value terms, expressed in thousand US dollars, the market trajectory differed. Despite the volume drop in 2022, the market value in 2021 peaked at 52 058 thousand USD, a significant increase from previous years. This suggests a rise in unit prices or a shift toward higher-value products. After 2021, market value stabilized around 45 000 to 46 000 thousand USD, indicating resilience in monetary terms even as physical volumes fluctuated.

Domestic production followed a similar pattern, with a peak in 2021 before declining. Imports, which had risen until 2020, fell sharply in 2021 and remained lower, while exports gradually decreased over the period. These shifts in trade flows contributed to the changes in available market volume.

Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production decreased by 3.9%, with a compound annual growth rate of 1.3%.
