The market for concentrated or sweetened milk and cream in Moldova showed considerable volatility from 2018 to 2023. After starting at 6 505 tons in 2018, consumption dipped slightly in 2019 before surging to a peak of 7 539 tons in 2020. The following year saw a sharp contraction to 5 610 tons, though the market rebounded to 7 015 tons in 2022 before declining again to 6 070 tons in 2023.

This movement was influenced by shifts in domestic production and trade. Production fell markedly from 5 592 tons in 2018 to 3 298 tons in 2021, then recovered partially. Imports varied significantly, peaking at 3 634 tons in 2020, while exports dropped from over 1 100 tons in 2018 to zero by 2023, reflecting a changing supply structure for the local market.
