Earlier Report Observations

In 2018, government support and the involvement of large state-owned companies helped increase the production of compounded unvulcanised rubber. The following year, further growth was reinforced by the increased localization of production, using more domestic rubbers and components, and the launch of new manufacturing capacities. However, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted logistics and raw material supplies, leading to a contraction in both output and market volume.

A strong recovery took place in 2021, driven by the expansion of high-tech rubber compounds developed for specific industry standards and the continued localization of raw materials. In 2022, the market was further supported by the November launch of a new modern mixing shop by RTI-Component, which added production capacity amidst a broader industrial expansion of compounds.

After 2022, production continued to rise, reaching 165.9 thousand tons in 2024 before declining to 125.2 thousand tons in 2025. The market volume followed a similar pattern, growing to 155.3 thousand tons in 2024.
