After a moderate decline in 2019, the market contracted more sharply in 2020 to 697.2 thousand tons. In value terms, the market told a different story, rising from 192.7 million USD in 2018 to 258.5 million USD in 2024. Despite the volume drop in 2020, value fell only modestly, and from 2021 onward, value growth was pronounced, peaking at 275.1 million USD in 2022. Even with volume declines in 2023 and 2024, market value remained well above 2018 levels, suggesting higher unit prices or a shift toward more valuable product grades.
