The market volume for chicken meat and offal in Iran remained relatively stable between 2018 and 2023, fluctuating within a range of 2 181 thousand tonnes to 2 354 thousand tonnes. The highest volume was recorded in 2020, followed by a decline over the next two years and a slight stabilization in 2023.

Domestic production followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 2 355 thousand tonnes in 2018 to 2 117 thousand tonnes in 2023. Imports, which were negligible until 2021, surged to 125 thousand tonnes that year before contracting again. Exports steadily declined from 52 thousand tonnes in 2018 to 10 thousand tonnes in 2023, reducing the volume of goods available for foreign sale.
