After an initial sharp fall in 2019, the market briefly recovered in 2020 before entering a renewed phase of decline. The years 2021 and 2022 saw relative stability, with volumes around 48 000 tons, but 2023 brought another significant downturn of nearly 19%.

Domestic production followed a nearly identical trajectory to market volume, falling from 59 340 tons to 38 290 tons over the same timeframe. Fluctuations in trade flows had a minor impact on the overall market size compared to the dominant trend in production.

Between 2017 and 2020, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Romania were the leading buyers of Greek cauliflowers and broccoli in volume terms. Bulgaria accounted for 41.5% of exports, Cyprus for 14.7%, and Romania for 12.6%. Together, these three countries represented 68.8% of Greece's total exports in kind.
