In 2022, a partnership between the Gabonese government, the IBSA Fund, and UNDP aimed to revitalize the cassava value chain, empowering youth- and women-led SMEs and promoting local agricultural products, contributing to market stability despite a minor dip in volume.

By 2023, the market volume reached 305.3 thousand tons, reflecting sustained institutional support for the cassava sector as part of broader food self-sufficiency policies.
