After a minor contraction to 63 453 t in 2021, the market stabilized around 63 700 t in 2022 and 2023. Underlying this stability was a growing consumer preference for vegetables among the country's middle class, which sustained domestic demand. By 2023, government support programs improving access to agricultural inputs, combined with increased funding for state-owned enterprises like the Cameroon Development Corporation, helped maintain steady production levels.
