The highest production value was recorded in 2018 at 100.8 million US dollars, which also saw the largest increase of 22.4%. In contrast, 2019 experienced the most significant decline of 13.6%.

Exports of builders' wares of plastics from Greece have decreased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, Greece exported 12 192 tonnes, showing a modest year-over-year decline of 9.1%. From 2017 to 2020, exports dropped by 7.6%, with a compound annual growth rate of 2.6%. The peak export volume was in 2018 at 13 990 tonnes, which also recorded the largest increase of 6.0%.

Data from 2017 to 2020 shows that exports of builders' wares of plastics from Greece were not heavily concentrated on a few key destinations. Italy accounted for 19.8% of exports in kind, Romania for 15.3%, and Bulgaria for 9.7%. Together, these three countries made up only 44.8% of total export flows.

The highest import volume was in 2019 at 10 567 tonnes, which also recorded the largest increase of 19.9%.

From 2017 to 2020, Italy, Bulgaria, and Germany were the main sources for imports of builders' wares of plastics into Greece. Italy accounted for 29.3% of imports in kind, Bulgaria for 17.5%, and Germany for 9.3%. Together, these three countries represented 56.1% of total import flows.
