The expansion was underpinned by a steady rise in domestic production, which increased from 127 thousand tons to 178 thousand tons over the period. At the same time, imports fell by more than a third, while exports grew sixfold, shifting the market structure toward greater self-sufficiency.
After a minor stabilization in 2022, the market resumed its upward trajectory in 2023, reflecting robust domestic output and stronger export activity.
