In 2023, the market stabilized at 41 634 tons, and Attica announced plans for a full-cycle alkyd and acrylic resins plant with 18 thousand tons capacity, indicating ongoing investment.

In 2024, the market recovered to 43 362 tons, a 4% increase from the previous year, accompanied by a 4% rise in production to 21 155 tons.

In 2021, Russia produced 33,672 tonnes of alkyd resins in primary forms, marking a 20.9% increase compared to 2020. Looking at the broader period from 2018 to 2021, production surged by 101%, which translates to an average annual growth rate of 26.2%. The most significant production decline occurred in 2020, with a drop of 0.9%, while the largest increase was recorded in 2019, when production jumped by 67.6%.

For the second year in a row, the volume of alkyd resins in primary forms exported from Russia declined. In 2021, exports totaled 3,499 tonnes, representing a sharp decrease of 31.6% compared to the previous year. Over the period from 2018 to 2021, exports fell by 24.5%, averaging an annual decline of 8.9%. The peak export volume was reached in 2019 at 5,228 tonnes, which also saw the largest annual increase of 12.8%.

Between 2018 and 2021, Uzbekistan and Belarus were the dominant destinations for Russia's exports of alkyd resins in primary forms, jointly accounting for 87.1% of total export flows. The remaining share was distributed among other markets.

The highest export value was recorded in 2019 at 5,389 thousand US dollars, which also experienced the largest increase of 19.8%. The most significant decline occurred in 2020, with a drop of 15.0%.
