The alcoholic beer market in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines expanded rapidly from 1.8 million liters in 2018 to 5.4 million liters in 2021, marking a threefold increase over three years. This growth was characterized by a steady rise in import volumes, which more than doubled from 750 thousand liters to over 1.8 million liters, while domestic production remained stable at 4.5 million liters until 2021.

After reaching its peak in 2021, the market volume contracted to 5.1 million liters in 2022 and further to 4.6 million liters in 2023. This decline coincided with a modest increase in production to 4.6 million liters, but was primarily influenced by a recovery in export volumes and a slowdown in import growth. Exports, which had fallen to 919 thousand liters in 2021, rebounded to over 2 million liters in 2023, reducing net availability on the domestic market.
