Imports of agricultural and poultry machinery in Bosnia and Herzegovina fluctuated between 2018 and 2020, then began a strong upward trend from 2021, reaching 14.3 million USD by 2025. This surge coincided with the country's Strategic Plan for Rural Development and sustained European Union funding aimed at modernizing farm equipment and processes, which raised demand for advanced machinery.

In 2021, the country exported 60.4 tonnes, marking a significant 73.2% increase compared to the previous year. From 2018 to 2021, the main buyers of agricultural and poultry machinery from Bosnia and Herzegovina were Serbia, Croatia, and Germany. Serbia accounted for 39.8% of exports in kind, Croatia for 20.5%, and Germany for 14.7%. Together, these three countries made up 75.0% of total exports in kind.

Following a two-year decline, Bosnia and Herzegovina's imports of agricultural and poultry machinery rebounded in 2021. Imports reached 615.3 tonnes, a notable 14.1% rise from the previous year. However, over the 2018-2021 period, imports overall decreased by 15.1%, with an average annual decline of 5.3%. The lowest point was in 2020 at 539.0 tonnes, which also experienced the largest drop of 20.6%.

From 2018 to 2021, Germany, Serbia, and the Netherlands were the largest suppliers of agricultural and poultry machinery to Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of volume. After two years of decline, the value of agricultural and poultry machinery imports into Bosnia and Herzegovina increased in 2021.
